These soft sculptures were made during a winter break art class at New City School and are sure to bring you a smile. They were so much fun to make and will look great hanging in the gallery for the Sew Loved art show!
We have a sewing machine in the art room so whenever possible I sit with them and let them guide the fabric and press the pedal. We also used a glue gun to close the seam after stuffing and attach buttons.
Since I only had an hour with each age group, I premade the rectangle base for the youngest which they then turned inside out using blunt colored pencils to get the corners turned out nicely. Thanks Hope and happy new year!

Hello Amy O! I use "wonder-under", a double sided fusible web. I iron on the one fabric side and peel off the paper so they can cut out the pieces and arrange how they want, and then we iron a second time. Set up time takes a little longer, but easy peasy for the kids to use:)
love them. would also love some tips on how you got them so nicely finished on the edges and such. did you use a particular size needle? great job!
